STANDARD OF CARE BEST PRACTICES

COSMETIC LASER LEGAL EXPERT

The course was written by a Cosmetic Laser Legal Expert who discusses the Standard of Care “best practices” and reveals the inside components to Tort Law and malpractice litigation.
The Standard of Care is a diagnostic and treatment process that a clinician should follow known as “best practices” which are adopted by healthcare professionals and is what medical malpractice cases are built upon.
In the medical field, physicians, practitioners as well as the laser clinicians, are held accountable to tort law.

LASER SAFETY REGULATIONS & PROCEDURAL CONTROLS

With laser safety regulations, Procedural Controls are required to be in place which include policies and procedures in healthcare facilities, medical spas and laser clinics.
Procedural Controls include the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which outlines and aligns procedures and guidance on the use of lasers. The SOP assures safe operation of lasers when personnel have access to hazardous laser radiation.
A written safety plan is required to be implemented and kept as documentation of the Standard Operating Procedure at the laser use site.
All medical practices or laser clinics as well as practitioners involved with laser usage, should become familiar with the SOP as it is the medical-legal documentation of safe practices.
