Aesthetic Lasers & Intense Pulsed Light

This course is an adjunct to the Aesthetic Lasers in Dermatology and involves a study in intense pulsed light.  The material covers many aspects of intense pulsed light and compares intense pulsed light with laser physics.  The learner will become competent with IPL indications when treating skin various diseases, specifically when treating hyperpigmented conditions and vascularities.  The physiology of the skin is covered with emphases on genetics and ethnicity when determining intense pulsed light parameters.  The practitioner will be skillful in applying synergistic therapies and stacking procedures for  unparalleled patient outcomes.  Lastly, the material covers non-ionizing medical devices and safety standards and details standard of care practices to which all practitioners are held accountable to under tort law.  The study concludes with evaluation of a personal injury case and engages the learner to thought and mastering of the material.
